About service

Greetings!

My name is Oleksandr. I'm DevOps engineer with some development experience. Creating projects is my passion.
As a result, getip.app was born. This is a distinct service that checks IP information for my other projects, including cloud servers and proxy services.

The project turned out to be very cool. Many requests, many third-party services, many verification mechanisms.
I succeeded in gathering almost all possible information in one place. And i made the decision to make the service available for public use, with some limitations.

Everything was built from scratch. As i am member of RIPE(LIR) and have own ipv6 block, so additional steps were done.

• ASN, route6, announce, domain, ptr
• Debian 12, proxmox cluster with ceph
• Virtual machines, managed by ansible with terraform
• Kubernetes cluster, deployed with kubeadm on top of vm
• Gitlab-ci, helm, fluxcd, postgres/redis operators, loghorn
